Residential project

Porto

Porto is a residential project from the Ve Atelier portfolio.

The gallery focuses on a bathroom in terracotta tones, structured by rounded forms, contrasting surfaces and copper details. A photograph taken before the works shows above all that the final atmosphere is not mere staging: the space has genuinely evolved.

Reading the transformation through the before / after

The before-works image is particularly valuable evidence here. It provides a concrete point of comparison for observing how the room has evolved: perception of volumes, relationship between bath, basin and shower, presence of colour and visual hierarchy.

The new composition uses an arch and fluted elements to introduce a gentler rhythm. The light plays on the reliefs and surfaces, which reinforces the depth of what is nonetheless a fairly restrained palette.

A warm palette without uniformity

Terracotta, teal, green and copper details coexist without the room being reduced to a single dominant colour. The interest lies precisely in the relationships between these tones and in the changes of scale: large wall surface, frieze, taps, small fittings and furniture.

Transforming a bathroom starting from what already exists?

The first decisions concern the layout and uses as much as the colours or finishes.
