Pimp My Kitchen

Pimp My Kitchen is a residential project centred on the kitchen.

Its interest lies in the way a highly functional space is given a strong identity without losing legibility: wood-faced and white fronts, touches of terracotta, geometric patterns, a black glass partition and a rounded island form a very graphic whole.

Working with the rhythm of a compact kitchen

In a kitchen, the repetition of fronts, tall units, handles and appliances already creates many lines. The project plays with this rhythm rather than hiding it: alternating light and wood, terracotta detail, a more expressive splashback and a black glass partition structure the composition.

Adding character to functional elements

Handles, a switch, a pendant light or the finish of a front become small accents. These are discreet choices on the scale of a room, but their repetition contributes strongly to the final atmosphere.

Must a kitchen choose between function and character?

The project can address storage, circulation, light and visual identity all at once.
