Residential project

Fire

Fire is one of the residential projects featured by Ve Atelier.

The project is instantly recognisable by one central element: an emerald-green fireplace that sets the rhythm of the room and turns an existing feature into a genuine visual anchor.

Making an existing element the starting point of the project

Here, the interest does not come from an accumulation of furniture or effects. The fireplace concentrates the colour and draws the eye, while niches, books, plants, wooden floorboards and floor patterns create a freer setting around it.

What already exists is not always something to hide: an element that is already there can become stronger when it is given a clear place in the composition once more.

A strong colour, used locally

The green is intense, but it does not take over the whole room. Concentrating it around the hearth lets the rest of the interior breathe. This economy of means stops the project from resting on a mere fashionable palette: colour becomes a way of creating hierarchy within the place.

What if the project started from an element you already have?

A fireplace, an opening, a piece of furniture or a constraint can become the starting point rather than a problem to be erased.
