Brand collaboration

Cohabs©

Cohabs© is one of the brand collaborations presented in Ve Atelier’s portfolio.

Founded in Brussels in 2016, Cohabs develops coliving houses designed around private and shared spaces, built-in furniture and a community experience. This context sheds light on the kind of use to which the collaboration relates, without attributing the overall design of a Cohabs house to Ve Atelier.

A private space that must remain liveable day to day

The gallery shows, in particular, an attic bedroom with green-painted roof timbers, an integrated desk area, touches of colour and a washing area. In a coliving context, a bedroom has to combine several functions within a limited floor area: sleeping, storing, working, and sometimes having access to water.

The composition uses the slopes and the roof timbers as features of character rather than trying to make them disappear.

Attributing the collaboration correctly

Cohabs has its own design teams and communicates widely about how its houses are designed. This page presents the collaboration with Cohabs as documented by Ve Atelier and the spaces visible in its gallery, without implying that the studio designed the brand as a whole.

Should a housing brand express its identity even in private spaces?

Spatial direction can connect use, the character of the place and the brand’s world without sacrificing everyday comfort.
